So much to do with the new PM, isn't it?

Dia dhuit, readers!
What’s the craic?
I am in the North, North (GoT anyone?) of Ireland but my heart is thumping for India. Happy Diwali to all of you. As a journalist, I have just filed my story on the big news of the day. I have written on him quite often during the course of the year. I recommend reading two more pieces here and here.
I am a firm believer in how culture shapes societies, economies, economic interactions, generational change, development, you name it. In dissecting Rishi Sunak’s rise in British politics, I have often used that lens and I am glad I have. I hope you will enjoy reading the pieces.
EconHistorienne is in the process of relaunching more regular editions from January 2023. We are building bank, editing episodes, scheduling interviews. I have been going around meeting wonderful people and will bring their work to you soon. The format and focus has shifted a bit, though it remains firmly within the intended field of academia, economics and economic history.
This year and next are paper-writing, seminar attending years. Tons of interesting longreads and poetry have been dealt with over the recent months, some of which have gone online and some of them are under edits. I also had my first poetry reading and launch last week. I promise to be back with links you can use when I have them.
I know it’s Diwali so I am keeping this short and sweet. Enjoy the rest of your evening and drop a line if you have questions or comments.
Cheers,
P.
